Upset by Western Digital

A personal post to avoid other people planning to buy a Wester Digital My Book external Drive.

I’ve bought a My Book Pro Edition which broke down after one year. WD replace it by a My Book studio edition : it is louder and divers rise errors in Snow Leopard. To crown it all it broke down 4 month later. I’ve loose my data each time. Now I’ve send many mails to the assistance without response since 15 days. The new disk warranty was 90 days and WD refused until now to replace my disk. It’s strange because the original disk is covered by the first waranty of 3 year.

Be careful when buying such stuff. You can be very disappointed if the Assistance doesn’t respect their duty.
